| i'm completely ready for lamoni. i feel like an old bastard. i'm looking forward to going to a small town in south-central iowa for a couple days to relax and kick back and all that old people stuff.
so, yeah. shit's been good. job is crazy right now. i hope it calms down. what's funny is that the store isn't getting shopped much at all, we're just all screwed up from a weird store opening and whatever and i'm stressed from pretty much nothing at all.
got some good CDs. spoon, my morning jacket, franz ferdinand, neil young, damien rice. a couple of those i've been wanting for a while, i just never bought them until last week. anyway, i'm happy with all of them. and can anyone tell me when blake bergman began listening to ween? that freaks me out just a little bit.

| i got a promotion. i'll be an assistant manager at the new store when it opens in west omaha on october 5th (the day after my birthday). it's a raise of 60 percent from my current wages so that's going to be fairly awesome. i still won't be making unbelievable bank or anything, but it's an improvement. anyway, i just thought i'd say something about it here because i'm a douchebag and i never contact my friends from GU.
ashley is in new mexico doing work stuff right now. it's my day off and i'm walking around in my boxers doing laundry. wow.
ashley and i are talking about going down to Lamoni for homecoming. i'm trying to get off the whole fri-sat-sun thing so we can make a weekend out of it.
i'm still reading On the Road. i haven't been putting enough time into reading lately.
snuggles,

| i'm not posting very much anymore, am i? oh, well. i've got nothing to say.
i got a library card so i can better myself as a human being. i'm starting my post-collegiate reading endeavors with On the Road, by Jack Kerouac. it's supposed to be pretty amazing. i'm only about 50 pages in so far, but it's good. he mentions several iowa cities that are typically not worth mentioning.
i bought sin city on dvd yesterday. i also bought Treble and Tremble by Earlimart and Kasabian's self-titled CD. Earlimart is really good. Kasabian is good, but not something i'd tell all my friends to run out and buy.
still living with my parents. hopefully not for much longer. there are so many apartments in omaha that even starting the process of looking has been kinda crazy.
this is the start of GU's second year without daniel koch. you guys will be fine, i'm sure.
later.

| i saw charlie and the chocolate factory with ashley. i liked it. i think the oompa loompa songs could have been toned down a bit. that's just my opinion.
i'm trying to think of what else i've been doing lately.... nothing, i guess.
i ordered two pairs of sandals and two pairs of boots from a couple other BR stores. the total with all four was less than 70 dollars. i shouldn't have spent that much in the first place, but my plan is to try them on at home and return whatever sucks the most.
this album is completely cool. i got it cause it was cheap and i'd heard a couple songs that i liked. turns out i should have bought it when it came out because it's that rad. sin city comes out on DVD aug. 16th. looking forward to that. i know there are supposed to be good CDs coming out soon, but they just never seem to show up. where's Rooney? that's my question.
anyway, as always, i miss everyone and everything.
love.

| it's been over a month and i have very little to speak of.
ashley lives here now. that's cool.
work is the same.
my little brother is in minnesota and i wish he was home 'cause i'm bored.
i still miss my boys from graceland.
it feels like there hasn't been a good CD released since X&Y.
i reserved a copy of the new harry potter book today. yeah. i'm like that.
colin casey is graduating from boot on friday. congratulations to colin.
that's rad.
